EZTREAD® was founded in 2004 to meet the demand for prefinished treads and risers that could easily be installed over an existing staircase that was previously carpeted.

Team

Stephen A. Melchiorre

President & CEO

A 3rd generation entrepreneur who started his career as an estimator for Abbey Carpet Co., Inc. In 2006, he founded Dynamic Flooring, Kitchen, Baths & Remodeling in New Jersey. Steve acquired EZ Tread in 2021 after being an EZ Tread dealer for over 15 years. Steve’s vision for EZ Tread is to be the leader in the staircase refacing industry at exceeding customers’ expectations by delivering the highest quality products in a culture that promotes teamwork.

Gregory Vitagliano

Vice President of Sales

Greg brings over 40 years of experience in the floor covering and construction industry to the EZ Tread TEAM. He has held multiple positions in the industry: apprentice, master installer, carpenter, territory manager for Mohawk Industries, Inc., (a Fortune 500 company), and a top level, and nationally ranked salesperson for Pro Source. Having previously owned a retail showroom and installation business, Greg understands the importance of delivering high quality products, superior craftsmanship, and exceptional customer service.

Ismael Torres

Customer Service & Production Manager

Ismael joined the EZ Tread Team in 2013 as a finisher, he has also served as: sander, builder, and fabricator, before being promoted to our Operations Manager where he is responsible for the general flow of work, overseeing the production room, general maintenance, and customer communications.

Deon Higgins

Color & Finish Manager

Deon joined the EZ Tread Team in 2019 at an entry level position, he was quickly promoted to a finisher, and then into our color matching lead position, and now oversees both the finishing and color matching departments.
